Gall and Honey – The Story of a Newspaperman

     Eddie, by the time he went to his rest, was many things besides a newspaperman. He was a living husband to three wives, a father, a pioneer of both inner-city and rural apostolates. With his third wife, Catherine de Hueck Doherty, he became co-founder of Madonna House Lay Apostolate—a new spiritual family the Catholic Church. When he was seventy-nine, he was ordained a priest.

     Gall and Honey covers the first part of Eddie’s life, from his birthings 1890 in Chicago, until his meeting with Catherine de Heuck in the early 1940’s in New York.
